Keytar Hero Help
1. Download the .zip file from site and unzip

2. Store the .exe whereever you wish to store it on your computer

3. Connect your Keytar to your PC using whatever MIDI adapter you have (I've used M-Audio UNO and the M-Audio MidAir Wireless Midi to hook up my keytar. Both have worked very well.

4. Run .exe - the following should appear


5. Hit any key on your keytar to insure that the input is working correctly. You shoudl see information appear in the Input Log if all is correct


6. The Output is already set up with a default setting for the SHS-10 as follows:

• 1st White (by speaker) = Star Power
• 1st Black = Menu
• 2nd / 3rd Black = Up / Down (appear as "StrumUp/StrumDown" but is what takes you through the menu)
• Last 5 White = color keys (Green through Orange)
• Pitch Bend = Whammy (This cannot be changed in any config)
  

If this configuration does not work for you, just do the following:

• hit a key
• select a button assignment
• hit the "assign" button

7. Open up Guitar Hero, set Controller settting to "Keyboard + Mouse", turn off "Lefty Mode" (If you are using the default settings), and ROCK OUT!
